The 720S Spider also offers a carbon fibre MonoCage II-S, closely based on the 720S architecture. And, because the monocoque was already so strong, McLaren hardly had to make any changes to the frame. In contrast to other convertibles, no extra windscreen frame reinforcement was required. The 720S Spider offers the same performance as the 720S, but with the additional exhilaration of open-air driving.
