The smooth and almost silent Multi Stage Hybrid drive of the LS has been improved even further. The car drives even smoother, with a lithium-ion battery that offers more support and a larger range so you can drive fully electric and, therefore, emission free. This enables the V6 petrol engine to use less revs, resulting in a quieter and smoother run. That’s clear when you restart the engine after driving in EV mode for a while.

Comfort as a

The focused fine-tuning means that the LS 500h offers even more comfort. For instance, the tyres have more flexible sidewalls without this affecting the run-flat capacities. The rigidity of the torsion stabilisers is adjusted for optimal absorption of weight differences due to body movements. This improves both the comfort as well as the forward stability. Shock absorbers are also controlled on all four wheels to improve both driving comfort and stability.

To simplify loading and unloading, the LS can be delivered with a hands-free power boot lid. With the Smart Key in your pocket, you can open and close the boot lid by simply moving your foot in front of a sensor located under the rear bumper.

For even more comfortable road holding, the shock absorbers on all four wheels are controlled by intelligent and further improved Adaptive Variable Suspension, improving not only driving comfort but also delivering additional stability. This is particularly useful when driving on poor, uneven road surfaces.

The three-spoke steering wheel is finished in leather and feels comfortable in your hands. Steering wheel heating is available for the colder months of the year. There’s also an integrated control for audio, telephone, the multi-information display, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control and Lane Trace Assist. You can also opt for a steering wheel in comfortable leather combined with grained wood accents.

The LS has a new 12.3” multimedia touch screen. Use the Touch Pad or voice control to operate the Lexus Premium navigation system. The screen is positioned with precision so you can keep your eyes on the road while driving. The system offers clear 3D graphics and multiple mapping options. You can also use Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto®.

The digital rear-view mirror shows images from the car’s rear camera, providing excellent rear visibility. You can also convert the rear-view mirror easily into a conventional optical mirror. The camera is even equipped with a washer system to keep the lens clean.

The Rear Seat Entertainment System is equipped with a 11.6” LCD screen and offers excellent image quality. The system is suitable for playing Blu-Ray and images from an SD card and also offers Wi-Fi. Headphone inputs and an HDMI port are located in the armrest.

The seats are upholstered in leather and are a stunning example of Japanese Takumi craftsmanship. The leather is finished in the finest stitching. The craftsmanship is also apparent in the optional Laser Cut Special finish. Patterns inspired by the Lexus grille can be laser-cut into the veneer.
